Las esculturas de chicle de Maurizio Savini hacen parte de la trayectoria del artista italiano a mas de 10 años.

Ese material – tan inusitado para una obra de arte – da vida a las piezas con su color rosa brillante, su olor ainfancia y su tono bien humorado.

El artista utiliza también fibras de vidrio aparte de la goma de mascar y crea siluetas de niños, cocodrilos y osos con la ayuda de una espátula en cuanto el chicle aun está caliente.

Una de las preocupaciones del artista es en relación a la conservación de su trabajo; para eso aplica formaldehido y antibiótico.

Sin duda es un trabajo y original que debe costar algo más de trabajo a Savini, no creo que fui a primera en tener ganas de comer un pedazo de esas obras de arte. Confiera a seguir algunas fotos de las esculturas de Maurizio.
