SINOPSIS
Tras la muerte de su madre, Purslane Hominy EWill, una adolescente solitaria y hastiada, regresa a la ciudad de su infancia. Segura de encontrar su casa abandonada, se queda atónita al comprobar que allí viven desde hace años dos amigos de su madre: Bobby Long, antiguo profesor de literatura, y su protegido, el biógrafo Lawson Pines. Ninguno de ellos tiene intención de marcharse, así que se ve obligada a convivir con ellos.
