La escena de Savannah (Georgia) ha producido tantos grupos increible, que se podria pensar que solo el Sludge metal vale aquí. La comparación de Black Tusk con todas esas bandas (Baroness, Kylesa...) que el grupo considera como hermanos es solo una parte de la historia. La incorporación de la furia del punk y la precisión del thrash metal con este particular sonido caliente del sur hacen de Black Tusk una de las mejores propuestas de la escena metal actual.
