In karakura town, aparecen unos espirituos dificiles de identificar llamados "Blanks"( Almas Vagantes ). Mientras Ichigo y Rukia tratan de combatir con esas extrañas almas, aparece una extraña shinigami llamada Senna quien acaba con los Blanks rapidamente. Senna se rehusa a responder cualquier pregunta de Ichigo y de Rukia.
