La presente exhibición esta compuesta por la colección de piezas de cera ilustrando lesiones dermatológicas, que ha sido propiedad de la Facultad de Medicina de la UNAM desde 1874.
La cátedra de dermatología empleó sus nuevos modelos de cera en la enseñanza cotidiana de sus alumnos, quienes aprendían a reconocer las lesiones características de muy diversas enfermedades reproducidas a la perfección en dichas obras.
