El fotógrafo Edward Horsford tiene uno de esos talentos inútiles, pero absolutamente muy atractivos a la vista. Todas las imágenes a continuación son de (la ausencia de) globos rellenos con agua justo al momento de explotar. Entonces el efecto capturado es el de estar sosteniendo una masa de agua.
Toma las imágenes solo y sólo con la ayuda de un disparador de flash especial, que se ejecuta a través de un micrófono que detecta el momento del estallido.
Horsford de hecho apuntó en NPR que la cámara es lo menos importante en estas tomas. Son de una larga exposición, de entre uno y dos segundos y el instante en el que se dispara el flash es clave para el resultado.
