Los animales no tienen voz, no pueden hacer demandas ni acusaciones judiciales, por maltrato ni abuso; por eso resulta tan fácil para algunos descargar tanta crueldad y vileza, a quien solo puede emitir un gruñido antes de morir sabiendo que su crimen permanecerá oculto en el anonimato y el descuido de la ley. Los criminalistas y psicólogos, sostienen que existe relación entre las personas que disfrutan dañando a los animales en edades tempranas y sus conductas violentas posteriores, para con la sociedad de echo muchos de los asesinos seriales en sus primeras etapas de la vida, abusaron de animales por eso hoy son tratadas con mas responsabilidad las manifestaciones de abuso animal en la etapa de la niñez, como un posible indicador de trastornos de adaptación futura .
El maltrato animal en las ultimas dos décadas ha logrado tocar la sensibilidad de muchas personas, con el surgimiento de organizaciones, que luchan contra la caza indiscriminada de animales, la protección de su habitad y la forma en que son sacrificados estos; antes de llegar a manos del consumidor. El establecer un trato correcto a los animales se ha convertido también en un requisito indispensable entre los productores y comercializadores de este rubro; como sucede en países desarrollados como Europa y EE.UU.
