El arte "extraño" de Gottfried Helnwein

Gottfried Helnwein nació en Viena el 8 de octubre de 1948 y estudió en la Academia de Artes Plásticas de esta misma ciudad. Este controvertido artista conceptual ha trabajado como pintor, dibujante, muralista, fotógrafo y escultor, realizando ademas obras de arte en vivo (performances). Interesado principalmente en la ansiedad psicológica y sociológica, así como en temas históricos y políticos, en su obra busca constantemente la provocación. Una de sus acuarelas sirvió como portada al álbum Blackout de la banda musical Scorpions. Reside con su familia en un castillo de Irlanda, donde tiene su taller.
