El cuerpo de Tomás Hernández Palacios fue encontrado flotando a la entrada de Laguna Verde, México, fue unido a un ancla de gran tamaño con una cinta adhesiva improvisada venda en los ojos. Su cuerpo se había logrado viajar más de 100 km de donde se cree que han sido asesinados.
Ejecutivo, el Sr. Hernández, fue identificado por los registros dentales como la descomposición avanzada había hecho ningún otro método de identificación casi imposible. Médicos forenses encontraron evidencias de que fue torturado ataron al ancla después de haber sido secuestrado por falsos policías en Papantla varias semanas antes. Causa de la muerte fue por ahogamiento.
Resulta que el ancla del Sr. Hernández ha estado pegada a era de hierro barato que el peso perdido "después de la inmersión constante en agua salada.
Adición de un más allá, giro macabro, en esta historia. La familia del Sr. Hernández informó a la policía que los dientes de oro habían desaparecido del cadáver. Después de una investigación que encontró a alguien trabajando en el análisis forense que regularmente se los dientes de oro de los cadáveres que examinó.
