Sinopsis: Joel Brandt escucha en su contestador automático un mensaje de alarma, y pensando que tan sólo es una broma, lo borra, con el fatídico desenlace de que la persona que le ha llamado es encontrada muerta. Otra persona vuelve a dejar un mensaje en el contestador de Joel, y vuelve a haber otro asesinato, y luego otro, y otro... Entonces Joel se convierte en el sospechoso número uno de la policía.
