Salto del Angel (Venezuela)

El salto Ángel es la catarata más alta del mundo, con una altura de 979 m (807 m de caída ininterrumpida), generada por la caída del río Churún desde el Auyantepuy. Está ubicado en el Parque Nacional Canaima en el estado Bolívar, Venezuela, el cual fue instaurado el 12 de junio de 1962 y declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1994. El parque nacional se extiende sobre 30.000 km² (más grande que Bélgica), hasta la frontera con Guyana y Brasil, y por su tamaño es considerado el más grande del mundo.
