Hace unos días atrás, la firma alemana BMW presentaba todas las imágenes y datos de su nueva SUV, la X1, una todoterreno que se posiciona en un segmento muy competitivo y con rivales que ya están instalados en el mercado.

La nueva X1 prácticamente no presenta cambios respecto al prototipo que vimos en Ginebra a principios de año. Lo más destacable del mismo, (a mi modo de ver) es la parte trasera y la redondeada ventana, ya que con ellas BMW nos esta dando características de los futuros modelos de la firma, como del nuevo Serie 3, X5 y Serie 5.

Este tiene un amplio equipamiento, en donde se destacan los faros bi-xenón opcionales, el asistente de luces altas y sensor de lluvia, el portaequipajes del techo, los asientos deportivos y calefactados, el climatizador, el techo panorámico, el puerto USB para conectar un MP3, el sistema HiFi Professional Pro Logic 7, el navegador Business o Professional con mando iDrive y el sistema Park Distance Control y cámara de marcha atrás.

La motorización consta de cuatro con tracción integral permanente xDrive, y dos tracción trasera sDrive. Esta el xDrive28i (gasolina) con 258 CV (emisiones: 219 g CO2/km(, el xDrive23d (diésel), con 204 CV (emisiones: 167 g CO2/km), el xDrive20d (diésel), con 177 CV (emisiones: 153 g CO2/km), el xDrive18d (diésel), con 143 CV, el sDrive20d (diésel), con 177 CV (emisiones: 139 g CO2/km) y el sDrive18d (diésel), con 143 CV (emisiones: 136 g CO2/km).

Su precio base es de 35.000 euros, e ira a la caza del Audi Q5, Volkswagen Tiguan y Toyota Rav4.

La firma pretende comercializar un aproximado de 100.000 unidades anuales. Se fabricara en la planta que BMW tiene en Leipzig.

Su presentación oficial se llevara a cabo en Frankfurt, y su llegada a Europa se dará a fin de año, y a mediados de fin del 2010 lo hará en Estados Unidos.
