UU. http://www.portafolio.co/sites/porta...lo/conta_2.jpg Así lo dijo el presidente Juan Manuel Santos, quien anunció que el país comenzará un proceso de "‘preparación" para ingresar en el mercado estadounidense. Al comenzar el Acuerdo para la prosperidad número 50, en Cocorná (Antioquia), el mandatario celebró de nuevo el primer paso que surtió el convenio esta semana, en el Congreso de Estados Unidos. “Tenemos nosotros que trabajar también para prepararnos y aprovechar ese mercado (…) Por eso vamos a iniciar un proceso de preparación del país para cuando ese acuerdo entre el vigencia, lo cual creo que será a mediados del año entrante o el primer semestre del otro año, dependiendo de cómo evoluciona el procedimiento en el gobierno de Estados Unidos”, dijo el mandatario. La próxima semana, el Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Colombia y Estados Unidos sería debatido por las plenarias de ambas cámaras del Congreso estadounidense. El jefe de Estado resaltó el éxito de la policía colombiana en la colaboración a sus pares de Honduras y Paraguay, lo que se reflejó, según Santos, en el rescate de un secuestrado en territorio centroamericano, la semana pasada. “El día de antes de ayer, el docente Jerson Gabriel Flórez Flórez fue rescatado por la policía colombiana, pero no en Colombia, en Honduras; o sea, la policía colombiana fue ayudar a las fuerzas armadas y a la policía hondureña y rescataron un secuestrado en Honduras”, contó el mandatario. Igualmente, dijo que pasado martes recibió una llamada del presidente paraguayo, Fernando Lugo, para agradecerle por el acompañamiento de la Policía en otro rescate en ese país. “Nuestra Fuerza Pública ya se volvió famosa por su efectividad”, afirmó Santos. Reveló, igualmente, nuevas cifras sobre el orden público en el país. Según el Presidente, entre el primero de enero y el 6 de octubre de este año hubo 735 homicidios menos, lo que significa una reducción del 6 por ciento, y se registraron 13 secuestros extorsivos menos. “Hay, sí, más casos de terrorismo: 31 casos de granadas, que se considera terrorismo por la nueva modalidad que usan las Farc”, dijo Santos. En el Acuerdo para la prosperidad de hoy se analizarán los avances del Plan Retorno, el cual cobija a la población desplazada del país. En este sentido, Santos anunció que se implementará el denominado ‘Incentivo familias en su tierra’ “para promover que las familias regresen” a sus regiones. |
