Tras confirmarse que los autralianos AC/DC se lo habían pensado mejor y no se retiraban, por fin nos llega su nuevo trabajo de estudio, el decimoséptimo de su carrera.
Obviamente encontraremos puro AC/DC en cada pista con un Brian Johnson aguantando el tipo con fuerza y un Angus Young ligero de dedos a pesar de los años. Si encontramos cambios forzosos en la formación con respecto al "Black Ice" de hace seis años. Phil Rudd deja el puesto de batería por problemas con la justicia, y el cerebro de la banda, Malcolm Young, no participará en la inminente gira mundial y dejará definitivamente la música debido a problemas de salud, se rumorea que tiene síntomas de demencia senil.
Por lo demás, un disco para disfrutar de nuevo de ese Hard Rock con toques de Rock 'n Roll que tanto nos ha hecho disfrutar durante décadas, y que lo saben hacer como nadie.

Randall William "Randy" Rhoads (6/Diciembre/1956 – 19/Marzo/1982) fué uno de los guitarristas más influyentes a finales de los 70 y principios de los 80, antes de que un extraño accidente de avioneta truncase tan prometedora carrera en Florida durante la gira del segundo álbum de Ozzy Osbourne, quien reclutó a Randy de Quiet Riot para su proyecto en solitario al quedar impresionado con su técnica y talento. Randy participó en los dos primeros álbumes de Ozzy, los cuales siguen siendo míticos y muy seguidos hasta hoy.
Apasionado estudiante de guitarra clásica, Rhoads combinaba en una mezcla única sus influencias clásicas con su peculiar forma de tocar Heavy Metal, siendo a posteriori la gran influencia para el Metal Neo-Clásico, y es citado aún hoy en día como su influencia por la mayor parte de guitarristas, e incluído en todas las listas de "Los Mejores Guitarristas..."
Este disco tributo recoge versiones de grandes músicos del panorama Hard Rock y Metal, algunos de los cuales llegaron a compartir escenario con él, como es el caso de Rudy Sarzo.

El 27 y 28 de Noviembre de 1988 Iron Maiden llegaba al N.E.C. de Birmingham cerrando la gira mundial "Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour" del álbum publicado ese mismo año "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son". El resultado de aquellas dos grandes noches fué grabado, y publicado en VHS en Noviembre de 1989 bajo el nombre de "Maiden England". En 1994, en edición limitada, se reeditó este VHS acompañado de su versión en CD.
"Maiden England" es uno de los directos clásicos de Iron Maiden, dos noches entre su gente en las que dieron un impresionante espectáculo de puesta en escena, luz y sonido, y en el que se dejaron el alma desde el primer tema al último.
25 años después, Iron Maiden reedita el concierto, esta vez en los formatos DVD, CD y LP. Esta edición ha sido Remasterizada, con cambios en la portada e interiores, pero el mayor cambio para bien ha sido el sonido, ahora suena inmenso, y mucho más limpio, destacando todos los instrumentos, sin sobresalir uno más que otro. Un fantástico sonido para una grabación de 1988.
En esta reedición se incluyen tres temas que no aparecieron en ediciones anteriores: "Run To The Hills", "Running Free" y "Sanctuary", tres clásicos de la Doncella De Hierro que nunca debieron faltar. Desgraciadamente no aparece ningún tema del álbum "Powerslave", otro pecado en mi modesta opinión.
Un concierto antológico de una de las mejores bandas de Heavy Metal de todos los tiempos, que hará de seguro las delicias de sus fans (sobre todo sus fieles veteranos entre los que me incluyo), y por supuesto todo apasionado del buen Heavy Metal no dejará escapar.

El esperado regreso de la calabaza metalera es por fin un hecho, cuando este 2015 se cumplen 30 años de la edición de su primer mini-LP de título homónimo.
Y que mejor manera de celebrarlo que con uno de los mejores trabajos de la banda germana con Andi Deris al micro, quien ha recuperado su mejor tono, más limpio, en un buen número de temas donde la banda también recupera sus mejores melodías aunque siendo algo menos "power", acercándose más al Heavy Metal, y con una impecable producción, cosa de que adolecían sus últimos trabajos.
Uno de los discazos del año sin duda alguna que devolverá a Weikath y los suyos al lugar que les corresponde, la cumbre del Metal.

Extraordinaro trabajo de debut de esta banda croata de Metal Sinfónico con un toque Alternativo. Compuesta de seis miembros, la banda ofrece una gran calidad y nitidez, frescura pero a su vez madurez, su cantante femenina da ese toque melódico en el que irrumpe en estribillos la voz rasgada (sin llegar a gutural) de su guitarrista y compositor.
Una gran promesa que dará mucho que hablar, muy recomendado.

Y que mejor manera de celebrarlo que con uno de los mejores trabajos de la banda germana con Andi Deris al micro, quien ha recuperado su mejor tono, más limpio, en un buen número de temas donde la banda también recupera sus mejores melodías aunque siendo algo menos "power", acercándose más al Heavy Metal, y con una impecable producción, cosa de que adolecían sus últimos trabajos.
Uno de los discazos del año sin duda alguna que devolverá a Weikath y los suyos al lugar que les corresponde, la cumbre del Metal.
