Cuatro héroes se enfrentan a un inmenso mal que tiene asoladas las tierras y sus gentes. Después de una titánica batalla, los héroes triunfan y traen una era de prosperidad a la región. Pasan los años y los héroes, en busca de nuevas aventuras, marchan con un ejército hacia tierras desconocidas, dejando a sus descendientes al cargo de la fortaleza. Entre juegos y juegos, los pequeños futuros héroes dañan el cristal en el que estaba contenido el mal que sus padres vencieron, y ahí comienza todo. Tan buena excusa como cualquiera para presentar un título que llega con ánimo de buscar una nueva vuelta de tuerca más al siempre floreciente género de los Tower Defense -quién iba a decir, allá cuando los jugadores jugaban a esta clase de mods en Warcraft III, que semejante idea se iba a convertir en un género tan comercial y predominante-.
