Sinopsis:

El Hindenburg era el mayor dirigible del mundo y un símbolo del creciente poder alemán. Inicialmente diseñado para utilizar helio no inflamable como gas de elevación, el embargo de EE.UU. a las exportaciones de helio obligó a la utilización del hidrógeno en su lugar. Esto resultó ser catastrófico cuando, de acoplamiento en Nueva Jersey en 1937, la nave se incendió y se quemó ante los ojos del mundo. La película sigue a algunos de los pasajeros del Hindenburg, incluyendo un diseñador de aeronave y agentes de la Gestapo, en su viaje hacia la tragedia.
