El hijo de un señor feudal se refugia en un monasterio Shaolin para protegerse del ataque de un rival. Allí conoce a un joven malcriado obligado a permanecer en el monasterio después de perder a su familia. Allí ambos serán entrenados en las artes marciales y en la filosofía Shaolin con las que tendrán que combatir el ataque de sus rivales.
