La historia cuenta como Andy ha dejado de ser un niño y está a punto de ingresar a la universidad. La pregunta de qué hacer con sus viejos juguetes, solo tiene tres posibilidades: el ático, la donación a la guardería o la basura. Solo elige un juguete para llevarse a la universidad y decide que los demás se irán al ático. Un error los manda a la basura, pero logran escapar y es cuando la opción de la guardería parece ser mejor, después de todo. No saben que ahí deberán enfrentar un peligro mayor y que dependerán de estar juntos para sobrevivir
