SNIPER DETECTION SLD 400 - surveillance and sniper detection laser system
The
SLD 400 was designed to
detect and
locate optical or
optronic scopes used by
snipers, and
sight systems on the
battlefield.
Presentation The
SLD 400 detects all
optical systems aimed at the
detector, often associated with an immediate threat (i.e.
snipers). The
detector can survey extensive areas by scanning them. The
SLD 400 is able to detect threats with a very high level of accuracy which makes it compatible with complementary fire control systems.
Designed to be fitted on a fixed mount, a tripod or a static vehicle, it can be used on the battlefield or in an
urban setting for the following purposes:
-
active and
passive detection of optical and optronic scopes;
- enhancing the speed and accuracy of shooting at a pointed optic;
- active scanning and searching with automatic display on a remote screen.
The
SLD 400 consists in:
- an optical head with a laser transmitter/receiver assembly;
- an electronic suitcase with the controls, processing and visualization of the observed landscape;
- a rechargeable battery power source.
Characteristics Eye safety: Class I with attenuating filter
Field of observation: variable from 4° to 30°
Scanning: manual 0° to 355°; automatic (mains power) 60°
